Cancellation Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 8 July 2026
1. Purpose
This Cancellation Policy explains when and how customers may cancel orders placed through farmandtable.co.uk.
This Policy should be read alongside our Online Sales Terms & Conditions, Delivery Policy and Returns & Refund Policy.
Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer legislation.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to orders placed directly with FARM & TABLE LTD through:
- Our website.
- Telephone orders.
- Email orders.
- Any other sales channels operated directly by FARM & TABLE LTD.
Orders placed through third-party retailers or marketplaces may be subject to different cancellation procedures.
3. Cancelling Before Dispatch
Customers may request to cancel an order before it has been dispatched.
Where an order has not yet entered the preparation or packing process, we will normally:
- Cancel the order.
- Refund any payment received using the original payment method.
Cancellation requests should be made as soon as possible after placing an order.
4. Orders Being Prepared
Once an order has entered the preparation, packing or fulfilment process, it may no longer be possible to cancel it.
This is particularly important for fresh, chilled and frozen food products, which are prepared specifically to fulfil customer orders.
We will always try to accommodate cancellation requests where reasonably practicable.
5. Orders Already Dispatched
Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot normally be cancelled.
Customers should instead refer to our Returns & Refund Policy if there is an issue with the products received.
6. Perishable Food Products
Many products supplied by FARM & TABLE LTD consist of fresh, chilled or frozen food that is liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the statutory 14-day cancellation right does not normally apply to goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
As a result, once these products have been dispatched, customers will generally not have the right to cancel simply because they have changed their mind.
This does not affect your legal rights if products are faulty, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fail to meet statutory consumer standards.
7. Non-Perishable Products
Where we supply products that are not exempt from cancellation rights, customers may be entitled to cancel in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Any such cancellation must comply with the relevant statutory requirements and our Returns & Refund Policy.
8. Subscription Orders
If FARM & TABLE LTD introduces subscription services in the future:
- Customers may cancel future subscription deliveries before the published cut-off date.
- Orders already processed for dispatch may not be capable of cancellation.
- Any specific subscription terms will take precedence over this Policy where applicable.
9. Refunds Following Cancellation
Where cancellation is accepted, refunds will normally:
- Be processed using the original payment method.
- Be issued as soon as reasonably practicable.
- Normally be completed within 14 days of confirming the cancellation, although payment providers may require additional processing time.
10. Incorrect or Duplicate Orders
If an order has been placed in error or duplicated accidentally, customers should contact us immediately.
Where the order has not yet been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to cancel or amend it.
11. Orders Cancelled by FARM & TABLE LTD
We reserve the right to cancel an order where:
- Products are unavailable.
- Payment cannot be authorised.
- Fraud is suspected.
- Pricing errors have occurred.
- Delivery is unavailable.
- Legal or regulatory obligations prevent fulfilment.
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent completion of the order.
Where payment has already been taken, a full refund will normally be issued.
12. Force Majeure
Occasionally circumstances beyond our reasonable control may require us to cancel or delay orders.
Examples include:
- Severe weather.
- Flooding.
- Fire.
- Supplier disruption.
- Industrial action.
- Utility failures.
- Government restrictions.
- Public health emergencies.
- Cyber incidents.
Where possible, affected customers will be contacted promptly and appropriate remedies discussed.
13. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate contact information.
- Reviewing order details before submitting payment.
- Contacting us promptly if they wish to cancel.
- Being available to receive deliveries where required.
14. Changes to this Policy
